Well, in reading my first post hered, how things and temps have changed_A LOT! Been in high 90's and low 100's. Heat index is well overf100+. Got email from T J and said the same for him. 5 days ago, 17 States were in heat warning and two days a go 34 States. This is brutal!! Please do not tell me Al Gore was right about Global warming???

No break in sight in my part of the country-KC. Normal Temp is in mid to upper 90's and heat index is in the 100 +! Keeping all blindd closed and not using many lights that put out heat, but hard to do with blinds closed, LOL!

Thankfully we are only expecting about 92 degrees today. 88% humidity currently - that's too much for my liking. Severe thunderstorms forcast for evening so that should make it more comfortable.

Hopefully everyone made it through Irene safe and sound. Sounds like most that followed evacuation or stay out of water advice etc made is safely.
With some luck and hard work, maybe they can get back to "normal" soon - still going to be river flood plain flooding with crests expected tomorrow.

Wonder if some of the Republicans running for President are right? God must hate us! Joplin, Mo. Tornado among others, Hurricane Katrina and Irene, Mo. River flooding of which all of these were horrific! Or, I wonder if in some instances there were not GOVT. F ups? So far have not heard back from some of my LXA Brothers in harms way nor dekeguy in N Y!

We are threatened with a heat advisory and 98 temps (heat index 105) today. I feel blessed having that instead of the hurricane that the east coast residents had to endure.
Have a happy and safe holiday weeked everyone
