Not to mention I was born in Ohio That is where my roots have began, even though it was for a short time. But I say the midwest as we have spoken, within certain areas it depends on who we ask. For example from this book "The MIddle West" by this KU professor who wrote it over time, how New York sees the Midwest or middle west differs from how Alabama sees it in terms of what states are in it. In other words, its a region that is very debatable not exact.

I think you must be including our Jewish leaders and businessmen in your definition of WASP - which is usually white Anglo-Saxon protestants. That's a mistake.
