Since my new furnace is not working as in not heating, bowls ar3e on counter as colder than refridge.
Going to add a lot of hot sauce, bit of vinager to chili with lots of crackers with butter to coat tummy!!!

2 patties of good quality beef burgers thawing.
Will mix with crackers and an egg, Tony C, pepper, and just a dash of salt.
Mix, light oil in skilet, fry slowly, place cheese in between and fry slowly again to melt cheese in center.
Side of baked potato with the bleu cheese I found very tasty over it.
Add a bit of stuffed green olives and dill spears.
Later, home made ice cream with aq dash of chocolat.

All of this home made ice cream makes me so jealous. About all I get is a small handful of chocolate covered raisins when my blood glucose dips too low

Finally back at the office. Skipped breakfast, light lunch, starving. GF promises chicken rissoto to start followed by a rib eye with demi-bordelaise sauce. Oven roast potatoes seasoned with Tony's seasoning and fresh string beans skillet fried with slivered almonds, bacon, and minced garlic. Glass of Gewurztraminer then some Wolf Blas shiraz. Coffee and Drambuie by the fireplace with a DVD of something [hopefully] interesting.

Dekeguy - sounds like you should open a 5-star restaraunt with the dinners you post!!
I had Spicy beef chimichanga with refried beans and spanish rice. I was good in the beverage dept. with a unsweetened iced tea with lemon wedge.

T J, you must realize, Peter is a food/wine/liquer, and other potables of fine food dude! I see many of his menus and salavate or just friggen drool over them! Sad to say as much as I love chicken leg quarters that used to buy at .29 cents a Lb., now on sale for .79 a Lb. Big difference, as when I bake two, do a BBQ, and another Shake and Bake. Equal two meals of differnt tastes. When it comes to cooking and menus, Peter is TOP NOTCH! We in the Mid West are basic dudes-meat and taters. Oh, snowing like a big dog, so have some Chicken Noodle soup thawing-home made, but will do a patty of Beef Burger meat instead. Jewish penicillen Thursday! Just fry it, corn gound mustard on bread, add some chips/dip- Bacon/horse radish, green stuffed olives and dill pickle spear, one only! Arrg, saying up to 9 inches before the night is over! Oh heck it is Just Kansas after all! ;D

Oh heck it is Just Kansas after all! ;D ======================================= Tom, Your comment reminded me of a bumper sticker I saw a while back. One of the best: "Auntie Em, Hate you, hate Kansas, taking the dog! Dorothy" I damned near ran off the road I was laughing so hard. Tonight will be pretty simple. Tomato, avocato, mozzerella salad; Fresh salmon baked with a bit of red wine, olive oil, and Tony's Creole Seasoning; Grilled Asparagus and spring onions. Some Australian Chard and some fizzy mineral water. Then some Cafe du Monde Coffee and Chicory, a generous slug of grappa and a nice La Gloria Cubana while watching a DVD of "A Man for All Seasons".

Dekeguy - sounds like you should open a 5-star restaraunt with the dinners you post!! ======================================= Not really, I just lucked out with a girlfriend who loves to cook, taught me some good kitchen skills, and likes the aroma of my pipe and cigars. Also, Dad and Grand Dad have great wine collections they like to share with my brother and sister and the Dekeguy himself. Life is tough!

Well, dekeguy, I can never fault you for your skills, but you are one lucky SOB. ;D While I am just a meat and tater/sea food kind of guy, I also have friends/not female types who bring over Care Packages of treats. Tody if as promised, home made Ham and Beans!! Really cold here, with mucho snow! Got lucky, when I got home, a kid of an old buddy was waithing for me and snow blew the drive-8 inches. Then he left before I could thank him! So, waiting with baited breath for H & B. ;D

Still early on a cold snow covered day in KC, I have been thirsting for Sea Food. Well, I screwd up and have russits boiling for shrimp. Forgot to thaw out the crap meat, but life is hard. So, now I guess the only thing left to do is do SHRIMP Boil only. Darn all of the bad luck! ;D So, I will hand peal the shrimp, dab some cocktail sauce and lick my fingers along with uber butter taters/sauce and smile! A bit of light blush wine-good for everything, maybe a small scotch whisky and then a nap? Later a small bowl of home made ice Cream with dark brown syrup over it with strawberrys! If then get a hunger in bed reading, a few slices of NY sharp Chedder cheese on Ritz crackers to take out the sweet taste. Do you agree Peter? Sweet, sour, sharp and tangy for a difference in tastes?

I'm already thinking a Belvidere martini, extra dry. Grilled Chicken or a chef salad maybe - will depend how hungry I am in 10 hrs
