A suspended Auburn University fraternity is losing its block seating privileges at this weekend's Iron Bowl match-up -- and future games -- over allegations of hazing.
The board of directors for the Sigma Chi International Fraternity voted last week to suspend the charter of its Auburn University chapter over the allegations, which included instances of personal servitude and all-night study sessions.
A spokeswoman for the university said this week that the Sigma Chi fraternity -- since it is no longer a recognized campus organization -- was not allowed to participate in the university's Spirit Point Program for student football tickets.
"Their block was awarded to someone else," said Jill Moore, director of Greek life at Auburn.
The university uses the Spirit Point Program to decide which student groups get block seating privileges at football games. The groups get points by attending other athletic events.
Many of the seating blocks go to Greek organizations.
