The 2013-14 Rock Challenge
Wilmington College of Ohio
1870 Quaker Way | Wilmington, OH 45177
U.S. News and World Report defines alumni loyalty by the number of graduates who make a gift to their college. That participation percentage is critical to our national/regional college rankings. It shows prospective students that graduates believe in the value of their education and continue to support it. Therefore, there are no small gifts to our college. Each one is meaningful to the reputation and honor of WC.
To focus on the importance that every gift counts, we have created the Rock Challenge.
The Challenge is based on the participation percentage of giving to the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund come from many segments including alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students. For the sake of the fairness in the Challenge, there are two competing alumni divisions. One is Greek and the other is by graduating class year.
These participation percentages are based on the total number of alumni associated with your competing division. So, if your fraternity or graduating class has 50 alumni and 25 of them make a gift to the Annual Fund, the percentage of participation for your organization is 50 percent.
