Student death being investigated at Purdue Posted: Friday, August 16, 2013
UPDATE: It was reported on Thursday that Aaron Bulger, a senior in the College of Agriculture, was found dead in his apartment on Russell Street. From Mishawaka, Ind., Bulger attended Marian High School before coming to Purdue. He was admitted into Purdue's Veterinary Scholars program and was going to start his senior year with a 3.85 G.P.A. He is also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Bulger was survived by his brothers John and Alec, his maternal grandparents Daniel and Rebecca Resor and his niece and nephew Harlie and John. Visitation for close friends and family was held on Sunday in the Hahn Funeral Home. Bulger's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Matthew's Cathedral in South Bend, Ind. His burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Donations in Bulger's honor can be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society or to Purdue's School of Veterinary Medicine. He was a senior in the College of Agriculture and a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. According to police, Bulger was subleasing an apartment in the 500 block of Russell St. Police say Bulger was found dead on a sofa in the apartment he was subleasing prior to school starting. Foul play is not suspected in his death and autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
