CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga is investigating a social fraternity after video of a prank was posted on Facebook.
UTC spokesman Chuck Cantrell told WRCB-TV the university has found the acts were those of alumni who visited the Phi Delta Theta house off campus.
The video shows one person shooting bottle rockets into the pants of a fraternity member who appears to be passed out and doesn’t notice.
Cantrell says UTC has been investigating for several months and any current students found to be involved would be subject to discipline.
Members of the local fraternity chapter declined comment to the station, but the national chapter issued a statement in which it said members who could be identified on the video has been suspended, pending investigation.
