Sigma Pi is taking a proactive model and treating an alumni chapter as a colony model. Page 51 (paper) Page 53 (online) issuu.com/sigmapihq/docs/emeral_winter2012I would venture a guess and say it is easier to involve alumni from one chapter (an alumni chapter). But motivating all the alumni in a specific geography (an alumni association) is tougher. They have targeted Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles for regional clubs, Birmingham, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, St. Louis, San Antonio are also planned - probably due to the large number of alumni around those cities. Sigma Pi already has nine Alumni Clubs, and they don't make a big distinction between those of one chapter, and those of a region.
