26 chapters and eight colonies, but at one time had 100 chapters.

A leader in the NYC metro area, they have more chapters than any other national there.

as a side note, I went to Rensselaer and we had an APD chapter for a while.

They seemingly are getting pretty agressive. But they do have a lot of schools open to them for expansion. Looks mostly in the East.

Expansion by "The Biggies" is limited a bit because of number of chapters. Some wanted to go to only Flag ship schools while others are now expanding to State Un. not the Biggies.

Two of Aciaca Chapters are K-State and Central Oklahoma after Indiana was closed. Hope they look towards more expansion.

LXA on the other hand as mentioned before are a 2 prong effort. Closed chapters and new schools.

But as some biggies are losing chapters because of hazing and booze related incidents it may open slots for others to enter.
