Do you enjoy wine? Do you drink wine? Do you have any vineyards in your area? Do you cook with wine? Here is one in my area and it is in Kansas, yes, Kansas! holyfieldwinery.com/I used to work for Eleven Cellars years ago, ahd some great reds! Visited many in Napa and Sanoma,Cal. At one time, Missouri was the # one vineyard area in America, second only to France. BTW, the hardy root system from Mo. saved the wines of France after they got rot, polxera (SIC). Since I do sip on wines, I cannot afford the big named wines I go on budget, via box wines. ;D

The small natl. grocery chain "Trader Joes" has decent wines, commonly called "two buck Chuck" which sell for $2 in CA and a little bit more in higher tax states. I get about the same buzz from a bottle of wine as from three beers.
Locally Kroger occasionally has similar wines for less than $3 to offer a little competition.

I occassionally have wine with dinner... Now I normally select a CA instead of a Bordeaux that I would have back in the good old days. We have a few wineries in the area - they are not major market but make a decent product.

$2.75 per bottle. Occasionally the cheapo wines place first or near the best in competitions.

I have been thirsting for a fine bottle of wine that I used to sell when I got into the wine business for years. I think with my soon up and coming trip to my old beverage store I have got to buy a bottle and see if it brings back the memories that I had will sipping it. BOONES FARM STRAWBERRY HILL! ;D When we sold it, the retail was .99 a 5 th. Before the 750 mil of course!! Will let you know if taste is the same and the price.

AAAH! Unscrewing the there was just a slight aroma. The first sip was a feeling of a bit of bubbles and a hint of strawberry fruitiness. All I can say, thanks for the memories!

Why do you think wine and soft drinks are the only items regularly sold in the USA in metric containers: 2-liters, etc.?
