Well members, as you know, I am one of them folks! I have finally come to my senses when my guy quit on me that now was the time! The end of Oct. will be my last day much to my sadness. I still have inventory and what I don't sell, will be locked in the store when I turn the key over to the land lord. Hell, I have found out that it is harder to close a damn business than to open it. I started the project and 3 weeks later I was open for business. I am still getting all things set to be cut off so I can say well see, it has been fun. So as modorney and I talked on our road trip, I will start cleaning the house better, go see some areas I have not been to in a while especially withing a few close zip codes, LOL! Then if his March trip comes to frutation, off for another road trip as I mentioned in another post! Heck, maybe get out of my shadow, LOL! ;D

Thank God Obama is our leader - he's a smoker and he'll take care of you.

Wishes are like chicken poop! If were true, I would have a hen house full of it! Monday being the last day of full business working, it has not hit me yet of doing nothing period. People say what are you going to do when you are retired? Tell them I will go crazier than I am now! One old H S class mate said make a list-bucket list- I guess of things to do? Dah, when it hits, I may turned to drugs and get high, LOL, NOT! Guess time will tell of course! Guess I can get more involved with a local LXA Chapter at UMKC, Masons, or just check out my area that i have not seen in years to see what the heck has gone on out side my zip code! ;D

The tobacco business has been taxed to death and harassed in recent years. Your's is not the only store biting the dust - and more will follow. At my first job, we sold cigs $2.50 for a 10-pack carton. Now it's $5 a pack.

:'(FYI, Federal tax on a carton of cigarettes is $10.01. State tax varies of course, Kansas being $7.90 per carton. Ergo @ the cost of a carton of cigarettes is 1/2 while I made $4.00. What is wrong with that picture?? BTW, tobacco was the first cash crop of these before they were The United States of America! But to Govt. never tells we the tax payers where they are going to get the Billions of Dollars when all of us tobacco people are out of business. use your imagination, and start puckering up! Closed store early as just said screw it. Will be back Tuesday to take out junk, anything I can use at home and leave the rest as no plave to keep @ $4,000 in cigars!

Tonight's news: Obama is now a non-smoker. Even he has abandoned you.

Impossible for him to be an ex-smoker. What's he going to blow up everyone's butts if he quits smoking??

Well, the latest update! Guy came in and offered $300 for cigars and we decided on $350 which are worth a minimum of $1000 at least. But the kicker is, that he will send a couple of his stout lads down and clean out the fixtures out of the store, lock stock and barrell! That means a lot as have many fixtures still in the store. While we were there, the area manager came by, by chance and said nicely, we need you out, DAH! So while I take it in the butt, I need to get CIGARS out as starting to dry out! You know what I mean Peter! But, I will be out and from under the store and added rent! WHEW! Now, I can begin to start going nutier being home bound!
