The University of Iowa is weighing interest in a gay fraternity.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen (http://bit.ly/qKDQw8 ) says the university is considering a local chapter of the Delta Lambda Phi fraternity, a national organization for gay, bisexual and straight men who support the gay community.
Kelly Jo Karnes of the Center of Student Involvement and Leadership says it's the latest effort by the organization to expand the Greek community. The university has 40 fraternities and sororities, including several geared toward specific cultural groups.
An informational meeting will be held on Oct. 25 at the Iowa Memorial Union.
A Delta Lambda Phi chapter opened at Iowa State University in 2005. It has four active members and recruited 12 new members this semester.

Let me guess:
If XYZ fraternity had a "no gays" bylaw, Iowa would not like them.
If Delta Lambda Phi fraternity has a "gays only" bylaw, Iowa will love them.

Would they be able to exclude non gay people? it seems that we as a cxommunity or country are starting to catagorize people like they did in Germany in WWII Hitler era?
