GLASSBORO — The Rowan University chapter of fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) has been suspended by its national leadership in Indianapolis, pending investigation of a recent police raid on an off-campus frat house.
The raid on Thursday night - planned by Glassboro police and Rowan Public Safety officers - netted nearly 100 arrests, about 1,000 cans of beer and an unspecified amount of cash.
One person was charged with selling alcohol without a license. Others were charged with underage possession of alcohol, among other offenses, after the sting on the Carpenter Street house.
TKE Chief Executive Officer Steve Ramos on Monday said fraternity officials are heading to Rowan to discuss findings in the case.
The punishment meted out to Rowan’s chapter will depend on the severity of the offenses and on consultation between University and fraternity officials.

The Fed Govt. so deemed that 18 was/is the legal drinking age or back when lose Fed. funds for highway projects. Oh, blackmail, hell yes.!!!! I despise this BS foisted upon us! But as a group of Social Organizations with Greek letters, no matter how much we do for charity, schoole participation, we get screwed!
