Kansas City's Team "Sporting Kansas City" will be playing in their new home field in KCKS for the first time ever. It is a state of the art field built for the game while not as big in America as the rest of the world. They used to be the KC Wizards and knew Willy Roy when they were the Spurs. Horst Muelholm became a kicker for the Cinn. Bengals.
Sporting KC did beat Manchester earlier , one of the top world teams.

Major League Soccer - the USA's pro league - is doing pretty well, adding two franchises this season, and adding two or three soccer-specific (and soccer-owned) stadiums, like in KC. Attendance is growing for the winning teams, as you would expect, and a nice crowd of 12,000 makes a 15,000-seat arena feel comfy and have lots of atmosphere. For many years, pro soccer was forced to play in the 50,000 seat baseball or football parks, or in high school stadiums with no atmosphere or amenities - and they generally sucked.
Soccer remains a participant sport in the US, with millions of kids playing - and most of them have never paid to buy ticket for a HS, college, or pro game.

TJ, you are right!
USA has never been that big on Soccer but seems to be growing.
The Metro Counties in KC has been Johnson county it has been big. 1 Mill. sports complex built last year. Now with the New Sporting KC Stadium in KCKs. the state of the art, it is growing city wide. One reason is that it is cheaper than foot ball or base ball for the kids! Also, the littlest kids can play too!
Getting bigger! USA is becoming stronger every day!
