A box of Zatarain jambalya mix, with some oysters, sausage, and ham thrown in. Tomorow I'll add a package of pre-cooked rice, and the next day a can of diced potatoes.

Long week, tired, GF tired. No cooking, Restaurant tonight. New seafood place we want to try. Start with a French 75 or two. Got hold of their menu and I think we will go with Crab meat ravigotte followed by a cup of gumbo. Then fillets of trout topped with a shrimp, crab and scallop bearnaise sauce. Brabant potatoes and asparagus for veg. Some fizzy mineral water and a bottle of gewurz. If we have room for dessert they are supposed to do a good key lime pie. Then home for coffee and Drambuie.
Thinking about London for the 'varsity boat race. Good reason to dip deeply into Dad's champagne stash in UK. If that doesn't work out it will have to be Henley at the begining of July.

OH MY GAWD! ;D Dang Peter, once again your menu is very intersting! What is French 75? New to me. ============================================= Tom, A 'French 75' is an old style cocktail that was popular after WWI and throughout the 1920s. They are begining to get popular again in There are several recepies but the one I saw most often growing up was two oz of brandy and a half ounce of cointreau or triple sec in the bottom of a double size champagne glass. Then carefully pour in very well chilled champagne. Two or three of these were supposed to have the same effect as being hit by a French 75 mm artillery round. They do taste good and they do speak with authority! Peter

Anytime one mixes Liguors can cause head aches. ;D One thing when I was in the liquor Biz, was Champagne in large glasses with pears pealed and watch them twirl in the glass. Went nuts and tasted good. If you like Greek, you must try and be carefull as are deadly! 1 Shot Greek Brandy. 2.Shot of Ouzo. 3.Scoop of Vanilla ice Cream. Blend in a parphae glass and serve. Limit of two-three. Goes down smooth, knocks one on rear! Lot of sugar, into blood stream! Oh, be sure to eat first, maybe a bit of Lamb, and other funny vegetables in red sauce! We in the mid west call them Cucs! Cumbers, the funky green things that I do not eat as give me a lot of gas! LOL!

Can of Tuna is out on counter. Drain, toast some bread, mayo slathered on bread. Mix Tuna with Mayo, sweet pickle relish and a dab of horse radish. So now the problem is Chip and Dip or Fries? Peter, I know my dinning is slow, but is me! ;D You have some of the best Menus in the world and very good at it! Still waiting to get in the G F mind of meat loaf!

Still sea food on my mind, LOL! Cod, stuffed with crap and shrimp. Dash of Tony C's (thanks Peter), baked in lemon butter. Baked potato, either bleu cheese or sharp chedder cheese to top it off with some bacon peices. Bake an apple topped tart with caramel sauce for dessert. No home made ice cream to top it off! Times are tough! Settle in with a good book and watch NCAA B B.

Going to try something new! Packaged beef slices, cost .50. Warm a bit. Make some brown gravy, nuke a potatoe with butter till very soft. Fork out to a flakyness. Bread on plate, ladle gravy over beef and potato. Cost @ 1.25 for meal.
